Dear Nissi Team,

Carers take extra precautions with the current spread of the Coronavirus. Pt's care is very complex and carers support her very well, they are competent in using the various machines (Suction, NIV, etc.) for Pt's needs. It's impressive how patient they are. They collaborate with the family. At the start of the care package, the care manager herself worked some shifts to see what pt's care needs were. Thank you very much for all the hard work you are putting into this care package.

Nissi Home Care has recently been caring for my wife Fiona who was suffering from dementia and was terminally ill with lung cancer. The care provided by Benise, Doca and Danielle over the past few weeks in at times very difficult situations was always considerate, sympathetic and professional. My dearest Gifty, In my hour of need and not having met me you came to my rescue. You are truly a gift from god and he passed on my anguish and prayers to you and you heard me. I will be eternally grateful for your heartfelt genuine love and kindness you showed me. Both you and your team, not forgetting Janet are an amazing group of people who do a job that is above and beyond any other job in this world. Janet, you went above and beyond the call of duty caring for my beloved mother Maroulla. You catered for her every need in every sense of the word even learning to speak her language, massaging her with olive oil, ensuring her hot water bottles were by her side to comfort her and being awake at the most unreasonable hour. God bless you all and be with you always giving you the strength and courage to continue to do the exceptional job that only exceptional people like you can do.

I had to write to express my heart felt gratitude for the excellent all round care and attention my dad received in his final months. Your Carer Ibrahim  went over and above the call of duty and is a true reflection of unconditional love. Considering he didn't know us he showed love and care as though dad was his own. The care, dignity and professionalism we received as a family from Gifty Nissi care home was one of the best ever.

It made the journey to heaven for our family member and for us as a family so much more peaceful and calm around our sadness.

They were always there on the end of the phone giving love care and advice to us all ensuring we knew our rights as a family, and liaising with the medical professionals when we didn’t understand what was going on.

Gifty Ampofo and her nursing team from Nissi Home Care were a Godsend for our entire family. Over nearly 2 months they organised the 24h home care for my wife Regina who suffered from motor neurone disease.

The professionalism, competence and patience of the care team made Regina feel safe and as comfortable as possible. The support of Nissi Home Care was also crucial for the rest of the family. The presence of the carers allowed us to sleep properly and preserve crucial energy.

We also enjoyed their company and even had fun despite the very difficult circumstances. Gifty was quick to implement a strict Corona virus hygiene regime and we all felt safe despite the countrywide lockdown during March and April 2020. We are sending you a BIG THANK YOU and wish you lots of success for the future.

I would like to thank the carers at Nissi for the wonderful way they looked after my wife, Cathy. Their compassion and concern to keep Cathy comfortable were always paramount, it felt like that this was a vocation for these lovely ladies and not merely a job.

Gifty led her team with great humour, she could always put a smile on Cathy’s face. She organised the staff so that they were only a small team and we soon got to know each other well. Their concern extended to the whole family with regular enquiries as to our wellbeing.

We couldn’t have wished for better care for Cathy and we are so grateful that Nissi were selected to be her care provider.

Rose, Victoria and Agatha have all been absolutely fantastic carers to my mum and a great support to our family. All three of them were so in-tune and gentle with my mum’s needs. I wouldn’t have coped without them. Their calmness really helped me too. Thank you very much.

We’re all reeling from shock but thankful we were with mum to say goodbye. Also very grateful to have had you on board with mums final days. Dear Gifty, my brother and I want to thank you so much for organising the wonderful care for our mother Anne. I had full confidence in Janet and felt so reassured to know she was looking after mum. Anne was able to pass away peacefully in her own home thanks to the excellent care she received. We would like to send cards to yourself, Tracey and Humu.
